enen project

The ENEN+ is a project launched by the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN) Association, aiming to the revival of interest of young generations in the careers in the nuclear sector. EFOMP is one of the partners participating in this project and the discipline of interest for medical physicists is the medical applications field.

For the implementation of the project objectives, mobility grants are provided for learners, who desire the improvement of their skills and knowledge.

Concerning the medical application field, there are four groups of scientists interested in medical applications, including Medical Physicists, who can be eligible for applying:

  • BSc students interested in following a master education in the field of Medical Physics
  • MSc students in Medical Physics interested in extracurricular experience or academic exchange,
  • PhD and Post Docs scientists in Medical Physics interested in academic and research exchange, access to research infrastructures and cooperation with EURATOM research projects and
  • Professionals, interested in changing their careers to Medical Physics, or building up their life-long learning on medical applications.

Grants have previously been approved to Medical Physicists to attend the European School of Medical Physics (ESMPE) editions, the European Congress of Medical Physics (ECMP) 2018 and EUTEMPE-Net modules.
Deadline for applications are set September 30 and November 30 in 2018.

Click here to apply for grants to attend EFOMP school editions and EUTEMPR RX modules 2019.

While applying, please choose 'Medical Application field'.

EFOMP school editions 2019

  • Nuclear Medicine Dosimetry, Practical approach- Jointly organised by ESMPE and ESMIT (registration is open)
  • State of the art and new trends of angiographic equipment: Image quality, Patient and Staff dosimetry- Jointly organised by ESMPE and COCIR
  • Treatment Planning systems - Jointly organised by ESMPE and COCIR

EUTEMPE RX modules 2019

  • 11 modules in 2019-2020

100 radiation oncologists, medical physicists and radiation therapists from 25 countries attended the ESTRO course "Advanced Treatment Planning" Athens 23 – 27 September 2018

In keeping with the Bodossaki Foundation’s longstanding support of the creative work of young Greek scientists and to reward their commitment and effort to the advancement of science as well as contribute to the promotion of exemplar paradigms for society, the Bodossaki Foundation has established the "Distinguished Young Scientists Awards", to scholars of greek descent, under the age of 40.

ESTRO will organize the 2ND ESTRO PHYSICS WORKSHOP - SCIENCE IN DEVELOPMENT on October 26-27 in Malaga Spain.

One of the tracks of this workshop is “Realtime and adaptive management of anatomical variations” (https://www.estro.org/congresses-meetings/articles/2-physics-workshop-real-time-adaptive-radiotherapy).
The chairs of this track (Marianne Aznar and Ben Heijmen) are inviting colleagues, or students to participate in this exciting event. There are possibilities for giving presentations on your research. You can also contribute by taking part in the discussions on the current status and future of real-time and adaptive radiotherapy.
